This is Luke hours before surgery. We were still making the decision whether or not to go through with the transplant.  Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Sibley Heart Center gave Luke a chance to live. Luke is our miracle.  They saved our son's life.

We learned we were pregnant in mid-March, just before moving out of state. Michelle’s due date was November 12. Because our oldest son was born prematurely, this pregnancy was considered high risk, and Michelle was followed closely by a group of five obstetricians. In late August, she was placed on medication and complete bedrest due to pre-term contractions. She also spent several nights in the hospital due to complications with the pregnancy; however, everything seemed to be going well, and it appeared we would be able to take our baby home from the hospital with us after his/her birth...Continue
